How Do You Become A School Councillor?
To become a School Council Representative, your class vote for who they feel will represent the class well.
To become Head Boy or Head Girl you need to present to all of your peers in KS2 as to why you would like to carry out the role. After all the presentations, your class mates will vote on their preferred candidate in a secret ballot. The person with the highest number of votes becomes the Head Boy/Girl and those with the second most number of votes become the deputies.
What Does The School Council Do?
We meet every Thursday from 1:30pm for 30 minutes. We think of ways to improve our school with the help of Mrs Jackson and Mrs Shaikh. As School Council representatives, we listen to the ideas of pupils in our class and across school who make suggestions on how to make Park Road School an even better place. We then discuss these ideas and think of ways of making it happen.
