Why TT Rock Stars?

Times Tables Rock Stars is a carefully sequenced programme of daily times tables practice.

Each week concentrates on a different times table, with a recommended consolidation week for rehearsing the tables that have recently been practised every third week or so.

Parents’ Guide to Supporting Times Table Rock Stars

• All children are set a ‘gig’ which is a baseline of 100 questions, starting with 10 questions on the 10s, followed by 10 questions on the 2s, 5s, 3s, 4s, 8s, 6s, 7s and 9s then 5 questions on the 11s and 12s.
• There is a 5 minute time limit and pupils will not necessarily get round to answering all 100 questions in that time, which is fine.
•  After their first ‘gig’, pupils will be automatically placed at the best starting point for them. They will be issued other ‘gigs’ to update their information throughout their time practicing on TTRS. The system is designed for everyone to play a Gig every time they "complete a table" on our Auto Training course (approx. every 30-45 levels).
• You can access your child’s times table grid by looking at the ‘My Stats’ section on their account – which can be accessed on computers, laptops, tablets, phones etc

Features & Benefits

Garage - the questions will only come from the times tables the teacher has set for the week. It will include multiplication and division questions.

As pupils start to answer questions, TT Rock Stars works out which facts they take longer on and will give them more of these questions to answer. The Garage is best for getting quicker at a few facts. Players get 10 coins per question.

Studio - the questions in the Studio can be anything from 1×1 up to 12×12.

TT Rock Stars calculates the mean response time from their last 10 games in the Studio and translates that time into a Rock Status. They get 1 coin per question.

Soundcheck – When you play Soundcheck, you get 20 questions each with a 5-second time limit. The questions are multiplication only and evenly weighted in terms of difficulty each time you play. Players earn 5 coins per correct answer.
