Free School Meals and Pupil Premium funding.

Free School Meals at Park Road

If your child is eligible for Free School Meals then they are entitled to a free hot meal each day, free milk and free access to Breakfast Club.

What's more, the Authority gives the school funding for each child who is on or who has ever been on Free School Meals in the last 6 years.  Last year we were awarded £91,762 of additional funding, money which enabled us to pay for a School Nurse, to keep our Breakfast Club running, and to subsidise trips such as a trip to the pantomime, for example. Importantly it also allowed us to provide extra support and interventions and to purchase resources within school, to raise the attainment of our pupils and to enrich their learning journeys.

Please see the criteria below. If you are entitled to Free School Meals or even if you are unsure, you can apply online on Kirklees Council's website.  Alternatively you can download the below form, complete and return it to school.  Either way, please be assured that your application will be completely confidential.

To find out more about our Pupil Premium funding and what we have spent it on, please visit our Pupil Premium page.
